Hand crafted, JeWitch conjured, unique musical amulet that invokes protection for Palestinians, Crips, and all who are oppressed. It features Palestinian and Crip solidarity symbols. It plays 3 songs that complement the themes of the prayer: "Crips and Palestinians will not be erased. No one will be left behind. Justice, safety and peace for you, yours and all who are oppressed." The Amulet comes with a stand ready to be displayed.

  • "Crip" is a reclaimed term embraced by many disability justice activists including the creator of this amulet.
  • Palestine has the highest number of child amputees per capita anywhere in the world and the numbers of disabled Palestinians continues to skyrocket as the genocide continues.
  • The first song the amulet plays in a loop is an original JeWitchy travelers' prayer song (click here to hear it) composed and sung by Lauren Arrow.
  • The next song, We Get There Together, (click here to hear it) is composed and sung by Joshua Blaine.
  • The Revolutionary Heart chant (click here to hear it) is played last. It was caught by Jude Elf, JeWitch Collective steward, at the 2017 JeWitch Camp (click here to learn about the Revolutionary Heart).
  • A push button rechargeable 16 MB sound module, cord for adding music and charging, instructions and display stand are included with the amulet. 9 MB remain on the sound module to add more mp3 files.
  • Instructions are included to reconfigure the sound module if looping is no longer desired.
  • The hamsa also known as the hand of Fatima or the hand of Miriam is an ancient symbol of protection in many cultures including Judaism, Islam and Christianity.
  • There is a disability pride flag to the right of the olive tree. Learn about the flag here
  • The dove, which holds an olive branch in its beak, represents peace. Its red, green, white, and black coloring corresponds to the colors of the Palestinian flag. Using objects bearing the colors of the flag became a symbol of protest and solidarity after the 1967 six day war when Israel banned the public display of the Palestinian flag.
  • The abundantly fruiting olive tree represents Palestinians' deep-rooted connection to the land, economic survival against occupation and cultural identity.
  • The travelers' prayer song mentions Shechinah, the Hebrew name of the feminine indwelling presence of God.
