"It is not incumbent upon you to complete the work, but neither are you at liberty to desist from it" (Pirkei Avot,Traditions of the Ancestors 2:21)
Tikkun olam (repair of the world) is central to JeWitch Collective's values. We weave social justice activities into all of our events and participate in demonstrations and protests in the community. We enjoy collaborating with other faith-based groups that work on social justice issues.
Our values demand an unwavering analysis of power and privilege and the ways all forms of oppression are interrelated. We also pay attention to historical and current structures of domination and control. This includes being against the Israeli occupation. We believe that no one is truly free until all who are oppressed are free.

Current Tikkun Olam Projects
Support the Long Covid Project to end practices and policies that ignore, marginalize and deprioritize chronically-ill and disabled people, in and beyond pandemics.
Support Sogorea Te Land Trust
JeWitch Collective encourages Bay Area residents to pay the voluntary tax initiated by urban Indigenous women through the Sogorea Te Land Trust, which supports the rematriation of land historically stolen from Ohlone people of the East Bay. To learn more and pay go to: www.sogoreate-landtrust.com/shuumi-land-tax/. Paying this tax is a way to honor the Ohlone ancestors and current residents who are indigenous to the Bay Area.
We also support Qal'bu Maryam, the Bay Area's 1st and the nation's 2nd Women's Mosque. It is also a center for interfaith and social Justice education. They are in need of financial donations to buy Qurans, prayer rugs, furnishings, and to pay teachers and religious leaders. The organization is new and they are just beginning to set up their infrastructure. Organizational help is also needed. To contact the mosque email: [email protected].
